The first vending machine was built in America which used to dispense gum balls on the railway platform. All the people who love to gamble can thank the vending machine as it is the inspiration behind slot machines!

• There are many different types of vending machines all over the world. There are some machines that work on electricity and those that don’t. They come in various shapes and sizes and are a great way for big companies to expand their reach and advertise their products. Let’s find out the different types of vending machines.

• The oldest vending machine is the gumball machine. You can call it the most colourful and vibrant of all the machines! These vending machines are stocked with loads of colourful round shaped chewing gums! Just put a coin in and you are presented with a handful them! The first gumball machine was designed in 1888.

• The next on the list are snack vending machines. We mentioned these earlier in school hallways! They are stocked with various packages items that may include chips, peanuts, bagged snacks and mint packets among other things!

• After the snack machines, it’s time for the drink machines. And to your surprise there are office vending machines to help you out. You will find different fizzy drinks, fruit juices, mineral water, flavoured milk etc. Drink machines are usually placed in a refrigerated vending machine that keeps the drinks cool and stores them longer. You will also find beer vending machines but you need to be above the stipulated legal age to access them! There are also combination vending machines where you will find drinks and snacks to make your own meal!

• You will also find coffee vending machines that give people their much needed cafeine kick. The mechanism in these machines is different because it involves making the coffee and keeping it hot. In Australia, there are machines that make hot fries for you. If you are in the mood for dessert, you can always turn to the hot pie machine!

• You will also find vending machines that dispense chocolates, toys and even DVDS. In Japan, you will find a vending machine that even dispenses sake! You may have seen vending machines that stock newspapers and magazines. In fact many publications have their specialised vending machines that have all their printed material.

In many countries around the world you will find condom vending machines that are an initiative to urge people to practice safe sex. You will find these condom vending machines at drug stores or even at bars and pubs! For more details visit our website www.sydneyvending.com.au
