Are you a caffeine addict like me? The aroma of brewed coffee can really stimulate the senses. But people will start feeling the effects more after sipping since this is when the effects of coffee really kick in.

What exactly are the effects of coffee? Studies have shown this can boost someone’s alertness, improve performance and concentration. In the body, this signifies an increase in the heart rate, blood pressure and basal metabolic rate. It will also promote urine production and can help relax muscle tension. It is the reason why that a lot of us have coffee while studying for a test, to help waking up in the morning or work during night shifts.

The main ingredient in coffee is caffeine. Research shows that it is harmless to drink one or two cups every day. However, if someone exceeds this quantity he can suffer the negative effects such as difficulty sleeping, headaches, irregular heartbeat, muscle tension and nausea. This can also lead to ulcer or heartburn, which is why experts also recommend individuals to drink in a moderate way.

Coffee isn’t good for women who are pregnant or patients who have heart disease and they should not consume it since it could cause birth defects or other health problems.

But persons who drink coffee can also experience the same effects by drinking substances that contain caffeine. For example, chocolate, sodas or tea.

Coffee may not make the person do a foolish thing which is normally related with the consumption of illegal substances or alcohol. But it may form a habit. People who drink it regularly and all of a sudde stop may feel what is called a withdrawal effects that will go away after a day or two when they are able to once again drink a cup of coffee.

It appears that certain diseases have been prevented by coffee. Java for instance is effective as an anti-depressant, now that is definitely what we can call good effects of coffee. The chances of developing Parkinson’s disease in men is lessen by other types of coffee even if physicians aren’t yet able to determine the cause of this disease.

In almost every household, coffee is being consumed. It can be purchased from the store or brewed at home or in the office.

The effects of coffee has on one person might differ with another depending on how well the body is able to react to the caffeine so when the individual feels this is enough, it is time to stop rather than feeling the negative effects of consuming too much. Nonetheless it is hard to beat a good cup of coffee in the morning. But since I want to better take care of my health I will try to drink a bit less coffee and start drinking some green tea during the day. Well like I said at least I will try.

Introudction To Gourmet Coffee

The word Gourmet is used to refer to the fancier grade, cut, or quality of many of the foods and beverages we consume. Gourmet foods and drinks have long been associated as the regular fare for the rich and famous who can afford the higher pricing that often accompanies many of these finer food and beverage versions. Coffee is a beverage that has been available in cheap, regular and gourmet versions for a long time and the consumption rate of coffee among people from around the world continues to increase every year. Gourmet coffee may have once only been served in the finest dining establishments and found being served mostly in the homes of the upper class, but gourmet coffee is widely available and affordable to a variety of people and is found in a variety of settings today.

Coffee is made from coffee beans which are found within the berries that develop and ripen on a number of smaller evergreen bush plant species known as the Coffea plant. After ripening, coffee berries are harvested, and then undergo a processing which also includes drying them. It is the coffee beans that remain after the processing and drying of the coffee berries. The beans are then roasted to various degrees which cause them to change physically and in the tastes they produce. Finally, the coffee beans are grinded down into a fine consistency that is commonly known as coffee grounds, and packaged and shipped to destinations around the world where consumers can buy and brew coffee grounds to make coffee in commercial, hospitality, institutional, and residential settings. Some people prefer to grind their own coffee beans before brewing them for coffee. Packaged coffee beans that have not been ground can be purchased in stores and ground using the grinding mills that are made available in most of the stores selling them, but also with grinding machines in the home.

The two most commercially grown species of the coffea plant that produce the coffee beans used to make the coffee that the world’s population consumes, are Robusta and Arabica. Gourmet coffee is made from the top tier coffee beans from the arabica coffea plant. These top tier arabica coffea plants are typically grown at very high altitudes (above 3000ft) with ideal soil and climate conditions. The coffee beans produced have fuller flavors, are more aromatic, and have less caffeine in them than other varieties of coffee beans such as Robustas. The coffee beans of arabica coffea plants grown at lower altitudes are still noted among consumers as having richer flavors than the flavors produced by Robusta coffee beans, but it is only the top tier arabica coffee beans that are considered to be Gourmet, and thereby from which gourmet coffee is derived.

Coffee bean grounds and coffee beans that have not been grinded down need to be stored in air-tight containers and kept cool in order to protect them from losing their flavor. The containers that coffee is typically sold in are not the most ideal for storing coffee for a long period of time. When you arrive home after purchasing coffee grounds at the store, consider transferring the fresh coffee grounds to appropriate storage containers to extend its shelf life and full flavor.

Coffee can be brewed in many ways such as boiling, pressuring, and steeping. Most of us brew our coffee using automatic coffee brewing machines and percolators which use gravity to pull hot water through coffee grounds where the hot water mixed with the oils and essences of the coffee grounds empties into a liquid holding container below. Filters are used to keep coffee granules from being emptied into the carafe or liquid holding container from which the brewed coffee can then be served from because most people do not want to drink the coffee granules. Coffee granules can be very bitter once the flavor able oils and essences have been removed through the brewing process. Plants and flowers love coffee grounds though for anybody who is looking for a greener alternative of what to do with coffee grounds after brewing instead of just throwing them in the trash.

Of course, Gourmet coffee beans are only the beginning to creating a truly gourmet coffee experience for many gourmet coffee drinkers. Some people are quite content with drinking their gourmet coffee black, without adding anything like milk, creamer, sugar or other sweeteners or flavorings, to their coffee. While many others want to enhance their gourmet coffee and drinking experience with tasty additions like milk that is whipped into a froth, sweeteners, and mixing in other flavors like chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and mint, to name just a few. Big name coffee chains sell a wide variety of gourmet coffee with different tasty additions and flavors to appeal to gourmet coffee lovers. However, brewing gourmet coffee at home is usually much cheaper, and you can add what you want to your coffee to satisfy your refined, gourmet tastes.

It is a pity that coffee does not get the credit and the attention it deserves. Coffee tends to get bad press and focus on negative effects of caffeine and we generally underestimate the importance of coffee in our life. Coffee is seen just as a drink, but it actually provides countless health benefits. Coffee may not be in the prescription by a physician. But nevertheless it plays a significant role in ensuring a healthy life for us.

People love coffee. They start their daily routine with a steaming cup of coffee in the early morning. But it is a question whether they really realize the benefits of coffee as a health drink. Coffee stops headache. It boosts your mood. These are the good things about coffee that all of us know. But there are more than what eyes meet in coffee matters.

• Research has shown that coffee minimizes the risk of diabetes.

• Believe it or not, coffee lowers the risk of Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. People who drink coffee regularly are around 80% less likely to be affected by Parkinson’s disease than who do not take coffee at all.

• Regular drinking of coffee distances you from colon cancer. Daily two cups of coffee, the risk you may get colon cancer is reduced by 25%.

• Two cups of caffeinated coffee per day, liver cirrhosis risk is decreased by 80%.

• Moderate intake of coffee reduces the risk of developing gallstones.

• Coffee reduces the risk of early stage diabetes. Coffee improves insulin sensitivity and it reduces blood sugar levels. Research has shown that if you drink three cups of caffeinated coffee per day, diabetes risk is reduced by considerable amount. If you drink six cups of caffeinated coffee daily, risk of diabetes is reduced by a whopping 50%.

• Coffee may help ward off asthma. Coffee eases out the nasal passages and improves airflow.

• Coffee contains antioxidants that fight against viral infection. One cup of coffee contains more antioxidants than one cup of grape juice!

• Coffee contains chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and protocatechnic acid. These chemicals show excellent antibacterial effects.

• Caffeine present in coffee is a psychoactive substance. It improves one’s mood and enhances performance.

• Coffee reduces fatigue effectively and it is an active stimulant.

• Around 100 ml of coffee every hour you can stay all night awake. Coffee delays sleep and reduces sleep time.

• Coffee makes you more alert. If you drink coffee whole day you will be alert throughout the day.

• Coffee prevents formation of dental cavities.

But coffee has its downside as well. It is an addictive drink. People who drink coffee daily in the long run become an addict, not just to that smell and taste, but to the caffeine content. They can reach a state where seems impossible for them to function in life without a cup of their favorite coffee and its likable bitter taste. If you make drinking coffee a regular habit, it certainly presents you numerous benefits like improved mood, enhanced performance, and reduction of risks of a lot of diseases including cancer. But what if you cannot drink your coffee at the usual time you take it? You may suffer from a headache. Fatigue reaches you. You feel restless. Your mood becomes dull. Your performance gets affected. If you regularly consume a large amount of coffee and stop drinking it suddenly you may suffer the withdrawal symptoms of caffeine addiction. This results in more adverse effects. Your blood sugar level becomes imbalanced. Your blood pressure gets affected. You may become easily impatient and get easily stressed. If you find this happening to you it is advisable to reduce your regular coffee intake and ease yourself out of your strong caffeine addiction. Limiting your daily intake will reduce your dependence on caffeine.

Though coffee has its own list of health benefits, like anything else, it should be taken only in moderation. Too much coffee has its own downside. So drink your cup of coffee, but only in a moderate amount to ensure a healthy you.

Kenco Vending provides all range of Office Coffee Machine, vending machines, Drinks Vending Machines and Vending machine consumables on best price.

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/Vending Machine suppliers

The term “vending machine” refers to a machine that accepts payments and dispenses a product or service. Such machines are very common in the Western countries and Japan. However, they are yet to make their mark in India. Vending machine suppliers in India are scarce because the machines available in the west are not appropriate in the Indian scenario. They have to be adapted to the country where they are to be placed.

When looking for a coffee vending machine , you will find that there are as many different pricing structures as there are suppliers. The choice of supplier is as important as the pricing of the machine. There are offers from the “free machine” or “low monthly rental” to “not the cheapest, but great service”. The point is to unpack these offers and scrutinize them step-by-step.

Let’s take the “free machine” offer. There is nothing free in business. It is a given fact that unless it’s stolen or the manufacturer has decided to go out of business, it isn’t actually free. The vending machine supplier will realize the ‘free’ cost from you at some point of time or other.

When you get a coffee vending machine, find out if the coffee and other consumables are being paid by the company or by you. When you get a ‘free installation’ offer, the cost of consumables understandably will have to be borne by you because the supplier needs to cover the ‘free’ cost here. Now calculate the cost of a cup of coffee and determine, what you actually pay. Get two or more quotes and determine the difference.

You also need to verify if you are obliged to buy consumable from the vending machine supplier . Again, suppliers who offer low rates, reclaim their cost somehow.

Check for the maintenance cost. A coffee vending machine , like any other machine, can break down and need regular maintenance. Does the supplier include maintenance and the cost of replacement of parts in the quotation? There are various models of coffee vending machines available in the market. Check out their prices and compare them before buying or renting that much needed coffee vending machine . Assess the likelihood of the supplier delivering on promises. Be sure of his being there when you need him!

Espresso coffee machines come in three basic types these days. They are super or fully automatic, semi-automatic, or plain manual. Let’s take a look at each of these types so you can find one that best suits your needs.

1. Manual Espresso Coffee Machine

Manual espresso coffee machines will need you to supervise every step in the espresso coffee making procedure. You will need to add both the coffee grinds and the water as well as control the frother if you’re concocting other different coffee drinks such as lattes or cappucinos.

2. Semi Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine

With this type of machine you need to start the process by turning the machine on and then pressing a button. Once the espresso has been made, you simply have to turn it off with another push on the button. Before you start off with the process, the basic stuff you need to do are check that there’s sufficient water in the reservoir and that the beans have been loaded if yours comes with a built-in coffee grinder.

3. Full or Super Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine

This machine produces a fantastic espresso without having to participate in the process at all. It comes with a fully integrated water system that can be hooked directly to a water source. It will also have an attached coffee grinder. The machine takes care of everything with just a push of the button. You will need to empty the internal bin of the used coffee grinds though.

When it comes time for you to select the perfect espresso coffee machine, you will need to determine how convenient you want the process to be. If you find fulfillment doing a step-by-step procedure, then the manual type would be the best choice for you.

On the other hand, if you prefer to do less for a cup of espresso, then the semi or super automatic espresso coffee machines will suit your specifications. Cost of the machine will be a major consideration. The semi and super automatic machines are a bit pricey. They are also a lot bigger than the older coffee makers so check available space in your kitchen before buying.

We wish you the best as you shop for your perfect espresso coffee machine.

Things to remember When buying a new coffee machine

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/Things to remember When buying a new coffee machine

Coffee machines are becoming an increasingly popular choice for the workplace.  People are now more inclined to stock a larger variety of drinks in their machines.  But it isn’t just coffee machines that have evolved; food vending units have moved on considerably as well.  When you are looking for a vending machine you are no longer limited to ones that offer a choice of sandwiches or crisps.  It is now even possible to have units that can supply hot breakfasts!  Food units are able to offer you all kinds of different snacks, right from cookies and fresh fruit to Panini’s.  If you want to stock a range of healthy eating products then this is not a problem at all as many of the modern food vending machines are designed with this in mind.

When you are looking for coffee machines to install in your workplace you will have a far better choice than you think.  Technology has moved on in every area of our lives, and that includes vending machines.  The types of units that are now available are a world away from the ones of a few years ago.  Modern vending units are far more reliable than their predecessors and many of them will use less electricity.

When you are thinking about which drinks to stock in your coffee machines you will also have plenty to choose from.  Don’t think that it is still just a case of tea, coffee or soup!  More and more people are drinking fruit teas these days and there is an enormous choice of flavours in them.  Then there is the option of hot chocolate in its many varieties.

When you invest in a top quality coffee machine, or number of machines, for your business you are purchasing very expensive pieces of equipment. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that you need to continually look after each machine pro-actively and make sure that the machines are regularly maintained.

If you leave any coffee machine without cleaning it or servicing it on a regular basis, it won’t be long before the machine stops producing quality cups of coffee for your employees or customers. A machine that is not performing efficiently will not be working to its full potential and may therefore be incurring additional costs and coffee that does not taste half as good.

As you can see, when you are looking at having coffee machines installed there are all kinds of things to consider.  You should also make sure that it is the right size for your workforce or you could find that some people end up going thirsty.  Suppliers of these units will be able to tell you exactly which units are the best ones for you.

How Gourmet Coffee Can Benefit Health

By: Stephanie Larkin

(ArticlesBase SC #329356)

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/How Gourmet Coffee Can Benefit Health

The reports we hear and see about the benefits and risks of drinking coffee can be confusing. Some reports say that drinking coffee offers many health benefits. While other reports say that drinking coffee carries health risks. One week the gourmet coffee you love to drink is good for you, and the very next week it is bad for you.

A lot of the confusion begins with the caffeine content found in coffee. It is the caffeine that makes coffee such a stimulating drink. Caffeine gives you a quick energy boost and may even help you focus more on what you are doing and can help you remember details a little better. But caffeine has also been shown to cause health risks when consumed in large amounts. How much is too much is hotly debated in health circles, and a clear consensus on the allowable amount of caffeine that can be consumed daily without risking health, remains to be reached. Taking a more cautious stance on the suggested amounts of caffeine that can safely consumed however, many health experts do recommend a limiting of no more than 3 cups of caffeinated coffee per day for coffee drinkers, and reducing caffeine intake from other beverages like teas and sodas.

Lost in the shadows of all the debating over caffeine in coffee are the health benefits that gourmet coffee, for example, offers. Gourmet coffee is derived from the seed or bean of the Arabica coffee plant. It has far less caffeine content than the coffee that is made from the seeds of other varieties of the coffee plant. The Arabica coffee plant is typically grown in elevations ranging from 1000 to more than 5,500 feet above sea level, and in regions with rich soils and climates that foster the healthy growth and development of this plant. Because of these conditions, the beans retain higher amounts of their healthy properties while less-desirable properties such as caffeine are reduced.

The gourmet coffee bean used in the brewing of gourmet coffee for drinking, is full of antioxidants that offer us protection against the radicals that are present in our bodies and that can make us sick and even make us more susceptible to major conditions like heart disease and cancers. The conditions under which the gourmet coffee bean is grown permits less use of pesticides which are harmful to humans, animals, plants, and the environment. When pesticides are used to control insect infestations and plant diseases, they can infiltrate the plant and remain there even after processing, although usually in lesser amounts. But consuming pesticides in any amounts from the foods we eat and the beverages we drink is not good for our health. They can cause serious and even deadly risks to our health when consumed regularly because the level of pesticides grows higher than what our bodies has natural defenses to fight. Other harmful substances are often added to foods and drinks made available for consumers to extend shelf life and enhance appearance, and these can harm our health as well.

The antioxidant properties in gourmet coffee can help the body to fight off the harmful affects of the pesticide residuals and added substances we ingest from the foods and beverages we consume. Antioxidants help the body to neutralize these radicals before they can develop into serious and deadly diseases. Other properties in gourmet coffee beans have been shown to reduce the risks for developing heart disease for many coffee drinkers who are at higher risk for heart disease.

Caffeine can of course give you a quick burst of energy and this is why many people drink coffee. But the other properties in the gourmet coffee bean and present in the brewed coffee we drink interact with chemicals in the brain to elevate mood, and improve powers of concentration and comprehension. These attributes are viewed as health benefits that can result from the consuming of gourmet coffee.

Drinking coffee has long been a social activity and sharing a cup of coffee with a friend or in a group setting benefits us by meeting the basic human need we all have of connecting socially with other human beings. In unfamiliar surroundings and settings, drinking coffee offers the comfort of something familiar to the coffee drinker, which can reduce the stress of being in a new place or with new people.

The health benefits gained by drinking gourmet coffee far outweigh the risks associated with caffeine consumption when you take care not to consume more caffeine than is recommended. Two or three cups of gourmet coffee a day should not present a risk to your health. You should be aware of how much caffeine you are consuming daily in other beverages and substitute

There are quite a few people in the world that think drinking is bad for your health. These people believe coffee makes you hyper, fidgety, and unable to focus on any given task. The key behind getting the most out of your coffee, is to consume in moderation. Remember in life, you want a balance, not to much of the good stuff, and not to much of the not so good stuff! Moderation is the key to almost everything in life. One would have to agree that got rid of all the unhealthy food and drinks in your diet, there wouldn’t be much left to enjoy. Every one is different, but I would suggest every coffee drinker limit themselves to only three cups a day to retain the healthy attributes of the coffee bean.

A cup of a espresso is favored across the world, but the greatest consumers of coffee anywhere may be the United States, Germany, and France. These three caffinated countries drink around 65% of the coffee on the globe. The annual amount of coffee drank every year is almost mind-boggling. In the United States alone, there are over 100 million cups of coffee drank every single day. Studies in the past have shown that over half of the adults in America drink coffee on a daily basis. These numbers tell us that about three quarters off the adult American population has a cup of coffee almost daily.

Coffee may be the drink of selection for numerous in the United States, but don’t forget how loved a hot cup of a java is all over the world. Did you know that coffe is the second most consumed beverage every single day, right behind water? Is there such a thing as “Healthy Coffee”? What are the benefits of healthier coffee for your health?
In this article, I will cover some known facts about the standard unhealthy coffee. Then show you there is actually a healthier coffee available and what the benefits are when you start drinking this healthier coffee.

Some facts about Coffee
- Coffee is the second largest traded commodity in the world
- Second largest consumed product next to water being the number one.
- World wide, according to statistics from the International Coffee Organization, people drink about 1.4 billion cups of coffee a day. About 45 percent of it is consumed in the USA.

This is a huge industry and billions of dollars are being made every single day. Everyone knows ‘Star Bucks’ and ‘McDonalds (McCoffee)’. These two giant corporations sell coffee in many different flavors and they are not in the coffee business to make people more healthy. They knew the facts and created a billion dollar plus business, with billions of people world wide being addicted to coffee.

Why are people still drinking unhealthy coffee?
Simply because the caffeine has a stimulation effect on the body. The downside of this is you will need your fix on a regular basis.
Furthermore regular coffee:

* Dehydrates

* Is very acidic and toxic

* It raises blood pressure

* Your stress level increases

All the more reason to limit your daily coffee addiction or find a replacement.

Healthier Coffee
Being a heavy coffee drinker myself I hated instant coffee. This always had an after taste and did not even taste like the coffee I consumed on a daily basis. I know many of you can relate to having to have your morning cup of coffee in order to get your day started. I experienced stomach acid problems, did not get enough sleep and headaches which I all related back to the coffee I was drinking. A very good friend of mine let me taste a sample of what she called ‘Healthier Coffee’. It was instant coffee so yes I was a little bit skeptical, but I did drink it. The aroma and the coffee flavor was great! It tasted even better than my regular coffee brand.

After I discovered this healthier coffee, I did some research on it and found out that it hardly has any caffeine (superior brand of Arabica beans used). More importantly, it is infused with a herb called Ganoderma Lucidium, or red mushroom. This red mushroom has been used in China for over 4,000 years for medicinal purposes, also known as the ‘King of Herbs’. When you do some research on the internet, you will find many businesses who offer this healthier coffee, but only a few really use the power of the Ganoderma or Reishi (Japan) herb.

Healthy Coffee benefits
There has been extensive research to what effects this red mushroom has for your health, here is a list of what it can do for you and your body:

* It will give you more energy and reduce fatigue

* It will increase your brain activity

* Will make you feel young and refresh again

* Improves/boosts your immune system (good alternative for the swine flu too!)

* You will sleep better (For people who suffer from insomnia)

* Healthy weight loss (Instead of pills or other costly weight loss programs)

Conclusion
Regular coffee is not good for your health. In fact, it is damaging your body. So the choice is yours. If you would like to continue to enjoy the rich taste and aroma of gourmet coffee, then I suggest you switch to the healthier coffee with the herb extract in it.

Ganoderma Lucidium was exclusively used by the Chinese emperors for a reason! Compare all the health benefits from drinking healthier coffee versus regular coffee. You’ll be amazed with what it will do for you!

Being a heavy coffee drinker, I discovered the many benefits of drinking healthier coffee instead of regular coffee. I have created a website called The Healthy Coffee Club check it out and come on over to have a healthy cup of coffee and a nice chat! Live healthier!
