Organic coffee is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. It is grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers which in turn helps out the soil.Organic coffee is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment.

In order for coffee to be certified and sold as organic in the United States, it must be produced in accordance with U.S. standards for organic production and certified by an agency accredited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The term Organic indicates that no chemicals were used in the cultivation of the coffee. In order to proclaim that a coffee is Certified Organic, a recognized third party certifier must document the cultivation of the coffee for three years running and issue an Organic Certificate

Organic coffee is grown in over 40 countries. To name a few; Bolivia, Burundi, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador,Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mexico, Nepal, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and even in the United States (Hawaii). As I said there are more, but these are the biggest producers.

Coffee contains a lot of antioxidants  Antioxidants are what you need to fight all of the free radicals that can cause cell damage spreading through your body. It also contains caffeine.Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, alleviating fatigue and increasing wakefulness. Afterdrinking a cup of coffee, caffeine is rapidly and efficiently absorbed from the digestive system and starts to work in the body just 20 minutes after consumption and the effects may last for several hours.

Some people are more sensitive to caffeine than others are and too much can cause unwanted effects such as anxiety, restlessness, irritability and sleep problems.

The benefits of coffee are tremendous though. Drinking coffee has been proven to reduce the risk of such cancers as bladder cancer, bowel cancer, pancreatic cancer,  and ovarian cancer. It has also been linked to reducing the development of type 2 diabetes and liver disease as well as the growth of gall stones.

Coffee even offsets some of the damage caused by other vices, some research indicates.  Tests have shown that people who smoke and are heavy drinkers have less heart disease and liver damage when they regularly consume large amounts of coffee compared to those who don’t.

Coffee Drinkers with Sensitive Stomachs Rejoice!

There is nothing more frustrating than having to cut back or avoid your coffee drinking because you may have stomach sensitivities. However, there is some good news for coffee drinkers out there with stomach sensitivities since they can now better enjoy their brew by sipping on a dark roast!

In a recent study done by the American Chemical Society, food chemists examined dark roasted coffee to find that it naturally produces a chemical compound that prevents cells in the stomach from creating excess acid that is often exacerbated by drinking coffee. If you have ever struggled with having a sour stomach after drinking coffee in the morning, drinking a dark roast instead may be the solution that you have been looking for. Of course, many sensitive stomached coffee drinkers also prefer cold brewed coffee, which has up to 60% less acid than traditionally brewed hot coffee. There are also coffees on the market that are labeled to be “stomach friendly”, where they are treated with steam to remove chemicals and caffeine that can often cause gastrointestinal discomfort. However, food chemists wanted to examine this issue even further to find out what chemicals in coffee caused a sour stomach and heartburn.

This research was done by taking extracts from two different coffee blends, one being light and the other being dark. These were also compared to the stomach friendly varieties of coffee that are steam treated. Each of the extracts showed to have a unique chemical composition, with varying amounts of other compounds, as well as caffeine.

When the extracts from these types of coffee were administered to human stomach cells, the cells increased their acid production. The one exception to the case was a compound in one of the extracts called N-methylpyridinium, which is a chemical naturally produced during roasting. It is not found in green coffee beans, but it begins to occur the darker that the coffee is roasted. This is actually a stomach soothing compound produced in dark roasted coffee, and scientific researchers are beginning to test a specialized blend of this compound for production.

This is fantastic news for anyone with stomach issues who still wants to enjoy their daily cup of coffee, especially since coffee has been proven to have such a large range of health benefits. Overall, it will reduce the risk of cirrhosis of the liver, stroke, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and even type II diabetes. Of course, you don’t want to let a little sour stomach get in your way of this healthy enjoyment, and experts recommend that you drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day for the greatest health benefits. If you are a coffee drinker that also happens to have a sensitive stomach, take care to choose premium dark roasts of coffee that contain the gentle compound that will prevent excess acid production in your stomach upon drinking. This is truly the best way to enjoy your cup of Joe on a daily basis while still being good to your stomach!

I need to explain now before starting roasting coffee that only by using this guideline which involves color on roasted coffee coffee beans is not very sufficient enough to make coffee roast of your own. There are several other factors that’s involved.

Next, I want to let you know that the development coffee coffee beans go through when roasting them are usually separated up into many grades or stages you might call it. One of the best degree of coffee roast I would say is once the coffee coffee beans nonetheless keeps exactly the same aroma and uniqueness when it was as green, fresh coffee coffee beans. Nonetheless, this is a stability relating to the original aroma along with the roast coffee. Specifically in a dark roast coffee the aroma out of the origin natural coffee coffee beans turn out to be secondary to the origin green coffee. In case the coffee is very dark roasted this doesn’t happen really matter what the origin from the coffee tastes like, it would taste similar anyway. Determining the best roast for your coffee is focused on testing and researching, but in the list below I will show you a guideline how the coffee beans undergo the various stages of roasting.

Be aware of that each roasting equipment operates in different ways and may use different time for them to change from one level to the other. So, it can be essential that you keep watch over the color on the coffee coffee beans also.

Degrees of roast, temperatures and texture

* Green unroasted :00 – 75 f/24 C

Here is the level just before we place them in to roasting. The bean is green, or seed which it is. This really is after the soaked procedure and the color of the coffee bean is normally white.

* Starting to pale 4:00 min – 270 f/132 C

Should you use a drum roaster due to this procedure you might need to bear in mind that it takes more time time to warm up the coffee beans in comparison with an air roaster. An air roaster is a lot better and therefore the overall heating up process can be carried out in about a couple of min.

* Early yellow phase 6:00 minutes – 327 f/163 C

As of this degree the beans continue to reducing water by steam however you won’t notice any indication that the coffee beans growing in proportion. This is also the phase where initially you can expect to notice the roasting and during this period you will probably start to see the very first crack in the beans.

* Yellow-Tan phase 6:30 min – 345 f/174 C

As of this grade the coffee beans turn darker and the surface should have dark and light brown surface. It’ll continue to lose water and today you’ll smell the 1st phase of roast coffee which actually smells like bread.

* Light Brownish phase 8:00 min – 370 f/188 C

The bean will now be starting to increase within the central crack and it also is losing some silver color skin covering the bean.

* Brownish Phase 9:00 min – 393 f/200 C

At the brown stage the bean has color drastically to dark brown color because of the browning of the sugar in the coffee bean.

* Very first crack begins 9:20 min – 401 f/205 C

Only at that stage the first popping sound could be noticed and this is the indication that the first crack has started.

* First crack under way 10:00 min – 415 f/213 C

At this time the first crack continues, the color of the bean will look uneven and mottled. Also at this degree the bean starts to increase in size since the crack increase.

* Very first crack is finished 10:40 min – 426 f/219 C

Only at that degree the very first crack is done and also the bean has come to the stage called City Roast. The surface is nearly even throughout nevertheless it continues to have a few darker spots therefore the edges continue to be hard. By now the beans start to release carbon dioxide.

* City 11:05 min 435 f/224 C

As of this period the coffee bean has complete the very first crack therefore the surface begins to look more even. The time period in between this phase and this period is very quick simply 15-30 secs, but many of things are happening during this time. The heat from the coffee bean actually starts to climb as well as the bean starts to fracture so this means it has reached its 2nd crack.

* Complete City 11:30 minutes – 444 f/229 C

Currently, the coffee beans has achieved the level of Full city roast, therefore it’s in the beginning on the second crack. In case you are a novice with this it may not be simple to figure out at what level it’s, but once you try a few times you’re going to get used to it. The surface of the bean has a coating of oil as well as the edges are much softer.

* Full City 11:50 min – 454 f/234 C

Once you notice the 2nd snap of the second crack means that it has reached Full City and roast degree. If you cool off the beans at this phase the most effective would be to cool it down instantly due to the fact you then will much better stop the roasting at the phase you need.

* Vienna, Mild French 12:15 min – 465 f/240 C

As soon as the 2nd crack is taken place it indicates it is at the Vienna degree, a mild French roast. This stage can also be known as Continental. This is also the phase when roast character is taking over the origin character. It is because the carbon roast flavors have taken over. On the other hand, a few coffee beans taste great once they achieved this degree.

* Complete French 12:40 minutes – 474 f/245 C

From this degree and further the coffee beans have exceeded the period of being completely ready and suitable for utilizing the coffee roast as ground coffee. The beans are burned and the flavor elements, oils and soluble solids are appearing out of the beans as smoke. Only at that level the temperature is at 474 f/245 C which is far over what’s encouraged temperature and that is 465 f/240 C.

Remember that this phase just normally takes 30 sec and so the change is extremely significantly. If you purchase

People have been drinking coffee in one form or another for hundreds of years. During those hundreds of years there has been debate after debate about whether or not it causes health problems. The simple truth is that there is no simple answer to the question.

Coffee has both pros and cons and these should be taken into consideration. For many people starting the day off without a cup of coffee would not even be an option. Many of these same people will drink multiple cups of coffee throughout the morning and some will continue throughout the day. These are the people who should look at both sides of the coin and then decide how much coffee they should drink.

Good Coffee

As any morning coffee drinker will attest, coffee is an excellent pick-me-up. Practically everyone knows that is true. However, what many people don’t realize is that coffee does have other good qualities. Some of those good qualities are actually health boosters, such as:

Research has shown that coffee may help reduce the risk of diabetes, particularly early stage diabetes. Coffee has been shown to reduce blood sugar levels and improve the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Some researchers say that 6 cups per day can reduce the risk of diabetes by fifty percent.

Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease both have been shown to be effected by coffee. People who drink coffee on a regular basis have an eighty percent less chance of having these diseases affect their body than non-coffee drinkers.

The risk of colon cancer is reduced by twenty –five percent by drinking just two cups of coffee per day. This may be due in part to coffee aiding in bowel functions.

Other health concerns that have been shown to be positively affected by coffee include: cirrhosis of the liver risk decreases by eighty percent and the chance of having gallstones is decreased as well.

Coffee contains many chemicals that are antibacterial and also contains more antioxidants than a cup of grape juice. The antioxidants help to fight infection and the chemicals found in coffee have antibacterial effects.

In addition, coffee has been shown to help prevent dental cavities and to be helpful to asthma patients. The latter is possibly due to the hot beverage opening up the passageways for breathing.

Bad Coffee

All of the good side effects do not mean that there are not some bad side effects. Coffee is addictive. People who drink coffee daily become addicted to the caffeine. The body becomes accustomed to having caffeine and when it does not it reacts in the form of headaches, depression-like moods, and imbalanced blood sugars.

Coffee can also slow the metabolic system down which makes it harder to maintain weight. There are some people who argue that coffee keeps them from eating, while this may be true, it is also true that metabolism slows down which stops weight loss.

Bottom of the Cup

The bottom of the cup, so to speak, is that just like anything else, coffee consumption should be in moderation. Coffee doesn’t have to be banned but it should be monitored and not over–indulged in.

Do you love espresso? Do you really love espresso? Do you love paying those high prices at the local coffee shop for your espresso?  I mean do you really love to pay those high prices at the local coffee shop for your espresso? I did not think so! have you ever thought about just getting your very own espresso coffee machine and saving upwards of .00 per week?,  .00 per  month?, 0.00 per year? That is a lot of money to spend these
days! Well, if you have been thinking about getting your very own espresso maker for your home or office here are 9 tips that you should consider before going out and handing over your hard earned money and not getting what you paid for or thought you paid for in the long run.

1. Do you think you’re considering buying an espresso maker that uses espresso pods? That is Okay since they are very easy to use, however in case you are a “hard core”, “died in the wool” espresso junkie then using an espresso machine that uses espresso ground coffee is the way to go to obtain just the right cup of espresso!

2. Would you like a steam driven or a pump driven espresso coffee machine? The steam driven machines are the more affordable of the two and so you might be tempted to buy one to save a few dollars, nevertheless the fact of the matter is that steam units do not keep the correct water temperature and tend not to produce adequate pressure levels to make really good espresso. The pump units are measured in “bars” and the more “bars” the more
pressure and the more pressure going through your ground coffee then the more of the flavor and flavorful oils will be passed to the espresso that you are going to drink.

3. Do you want your espresso coffe machine to be fully automatic? Do you want to have some amount of interaction with your espresso maker? Do you want your espresso maker to be fully digital? Is it in your budget to get a fully digital, fully automatic espresso machine? This is something very important to consider, as the more “bells and whistles” the more money you will have to spend. Here is the rub though: Just because an espresso machine does not have all the “bells and whistles” does not mean that it can’t produce epresso like one that does.

4. How many cups or mugs of espresso do you want your espresso machine to be capable of making at one time? How many people will need to be served by your choice of machine in your home or office?

5. Do you intend to buy a coffee bean grinder? Do you have a coffee bean grinder now? If you want one or should you have one now make sure that it is a top quality grinder. It just does not make any sense to have an eight hunderd dollar espresso machine and a five dollar coffee bean grinder. Personally, you should avoid coffee bean grinders that utilize blades as the blades will not grind the coffee fine enough or completely enough. This
goes for espresso machine that have grinders in them as well. Get an espresso machine that has a burr conical grinder as these types of grinders truly do grind the coffee beans completely and properly for creating great espresso.

6. Be sure that your coffee beans are ground especially for the espresso machine with the precise setting of your grinder or the grinder that is integrated into your espresso machine.

7. When it is time to steam your milk make absolutely sure that you are using a minimum sixty percent fresh cold 100% milk. Whatever you do, you should not reheat warm milk! Yuck! Your best results will always come from using fresh cold whole milk. Always when steaming the milk place the steam wand below the milks surface and then steam the milk on full.

8. Maintain your machine in good functioning order. Therefore cleaning your machine after every use in addition to descaling it regularly to keep mineral deposits from building up inside your machine in the areas of the pipes and boiler and reduces excess pressure buildup put in the  pump.

9. Always ensure that the grind you will be using compliments the machine that you are using. The instruction manuals of most espresso coffee machines will come with a coffee grind guide and suggestions and you may work with those or try different things for trial and error purposes.

Every customer has its own taste and he chooses his blend accordingly. The blends you can get at a coffee vending machine are as follows:

Lush Arabica: it is the blend of Arabica Brazilian beans with sweet supremo Columbian coffee cherries. It is the most popular blend and it is light and smooth in taste.

Slurp Supreme: it’s a smooth medium blend of tart spicy quality of Monsoon Malabar, the nuttiness of Brazilian Arabica, the chocolatiness of Ethiopian Sidamo, the power of Vietnamese Robusta and the exoticism of Costa Rican Robusta.

Java Organic: this is most energetic and delicious drink blend which keeps you refresh the whole day.

Costa Rica Fairtrade: it is the rich blend of warm nuttiness combined with an exalting citrus tang. It is considered as the highest source of inspiration and idea generation.

Coffee machines are a common feature in offices, home and restaurants. Coffee is one of the most popular beverages across the globe. Who doesn’t like a cuppa? If your office or business too wishes to install coffee machines to serve hot coffee to your employees and clients then instead of buying new coffee machines you can take advantage of coffee machine hire services. Getting coffee machines on rent will save you from investing huge money on buying it.

There are many rental companies in the country that offer coffee machines on rent at reasonable rates. The coffee machine hire companies offer all varieties of machines on rent. You can either choose standing, tabletop or wall mounting machines for your office or restaurant depending on the space available. The companies also offer you the option to choose from single or combi machines. A single machine will only dispense coffee whereas a combi can dispense two or three different types of beverages. There are different sizes of coffee machines available depending on their capability to serve the number of people. If you have a big office with large employee strength then you can pick a big size machine or else choose a small machine. The coffee machine technology has also improved over the years and hence today you can choose from stylish and sleek range of machines which will serve you the finest coffee.

Another advantage of getting the services of coffee machine hire companies is that they also take care of maintaining the machines. Expert engineers from the rental company will periodically inspect the machines and in case of any functional problem will rush in to rectify it. However one needs to exercise care while choosing a rental company and consider a few important things before making the final call. It is advisable to select a reputed and experienced company which is known for its dedicated and excellent services. Secondly, the machines offered to you should be latest and fully functional so as to avoid regular operational glitches.
