Is Caffeine Useful?

Every time you turn around, someone is deciding to give up caffeine. While many people have a real allergy to the stuff, the majority are doing it because of peer pressure. There are many articles regarding the badness of caffeine. One of the earliest things a newly pregnant woman is told is to give up caffeine. As soon as a person decides to “get healthy” he or she is usually told “give up caffeine” first thing. The first sign that a person wants to get healthier is almost always the relinquishing of caffeine. But the fact remains that caffeine can have some positive aspects for your health as well. It’s true! Here are some of the more important benefits connected with caffeine.

A research study executed by Harvard University confirmed that men who consume about four cups of caffeinated coffee each day are a lot less likely to be stricken by Parkinson’s disease. They believe this happens because caffeine allows the dopamine molecules in the brain stay active. They believe it’s also feasible that, on account of caffeine’s blocking of adenosine receptors, the brain become less likely to develop amyloid-beta. That’s the same stuff that may be thought to lead to Alzheimer’s disease. While there aren’t any scientific tests about whether caffeine will make you smarter (that we know of), being able to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases is pretty cool.

There is a great deal of data out there that caffeine raises the body’s blood pressure. This implies that it could put you at a larger risk for diseases of the heart as well as heart failure. There are actually reports, however, that say the opposite. A study done by Brooklyn College a couple of years ago confirmed that men who drank several cups of coffee were less likely to develop heart problems. The basic concept is that, if you aren’t already affected by hypertension, caffeine won’t make the problem worse. If you do suffer from heart problems, staying away from caffeine is the way to go.

There are some who believe that caffeine can help when you work out. Muscle contraction is definitely reliant on your body’s release of calcium. Adenosine can help control that activity. Caffeine prevents the actual brain’s adenosine receptors. While that probably seems wrong, the truth is that if your brain’s adenosine receptors are blocked electrical impulses get set off in your brain. Those identical impulses induce the release of bursts of calcium throughout your body. Because your muscles need calcium for working out, the extra calcium that gets released can help make your workout more effective.

Obviously, the key to getting caffeine to work for you is taking it in in small amounts. Just because caffeine will help you avoid disease and be a little bit healthier, that doesn’t mean that you should go overboard with it. The real truth is the fact that ingesting too much caffeine is actually bad for you. If you consume it in moderation, however, it may possibly help make an individual healthier. Who wouldn’t wish to stop heart disease? Who doesn’t prefer to prevent Parkinson’s disease? Who would not want their training workouts to become lot stronger? Caffeine really can assist with all of that–just providing you don’t go overboard.

I hope you found this article interesting about the benefits of caffiene.  There is a lot of controversary for sure about this great drink.  However, if you are like me you should just try the best coffee you can find, check out the differnet types and just enjoy.

Is Your Coffee Making You Feel Sick? There Is A Healthy Choice

coffee health

Coffee is so popular you’d think it must be the right thing to drink. But there are many health drawbacks to the normal coffee. It may be your morning pick-me-up and your midday pick-me-up, but normal coffee can be a real put-down for your health.

Obviously not everyone feels that way. After all, coffee is the most popular drink worldwide with 1.4 billion cups consumed every day. Four out of five Americans drink it, consuming more than 400 million cups a day. In Canada it is the most popular hot beverage.

But the list of health problems associated with coffee is a real wake-up call itself.

Some of the problems that the caffeine in coffee causes are preventable and in fact urgent to prevent. For example, caffeine increases your heart rate, elevates your blood pressure, and can contribute to the development of heart disease.

Anxiety and irritability are also associated with too much caffeine intake.

The high acid content of most coffees can lead to gastrointestinal problems because coffee increases the secretion of hydrochloric acid leading to an increased risk for ulcers. Coffee, including decaf, reduces the pressure on the valve between the oesophagus and the stomach so that the highly acidic contents of the stomach pass up to the oesophagus leading to heartburn and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. With America’s high consumption of coffee, its no wonder the best selling over-the-counter drugs are the so-called antacids.

Besides its direct effect on the human body, there is also the issue of the use of chemicals and pesticides on the coffee beans (as well as on other food crops). Pesticides and chemicals used in agriculture contain a myriad of chemicals – most of which are have not been studied thoroughly enough to understand or contemplate their long-term effects on the human body.

So, am I telling you to give up coffee? NOT exactly. Rather, I want you to know that there is an alternative to the normal coffee, the normal coffee that plays such a part in your decreasing health, even as it purports to elevate your mood and energy.

The alternative I’m talking about is a real coffee (not a coffee substitute) grown and processed organically without the use of chemicals, pesticides, hormones or artificial fertilizers. It’s a coffee that actually helps to remove toxins from your body, and with every cup you drink, you can feel better and realize increasing health benefits.

And, in fact, this particular coffee tastes good.

This new healthy coffee has been known to increase oxygen to your brain, help balance your weight, and boost your overall health. The secret ingredient is an extract from the Reishi mushroom known as Ganoderma Lucidum. Its literal root is the term Reishie Senshi, of ancient Asian origin, meaning, “goodness of health, life and eternal youth.”

Unlike your average coffee bean, which is one of the most heavily pesticide sprayed crops, these coffee beans are grown and processed organically without the use of any chemicals or pesticides. This healthy coffee will help remove toxins from your body and boost your immune system. With every cup that you drink you can feel revived, rejuvenated and experience increased health benefits.

As for taste, this coffee is known to be delicious. In fact, not only health reasons, but pure and simple taste is one reason that many people are switching to Ganoderma.

Health issues, however, are a very important reason that more and more people are switching to Ganoderma. Its essential ingredient, Reishi mushrooms, has been used as an immune stimulant for both HIV or cancer patients and has even been found to improve immune response in advance-stage cancer victims. These mushrooms have also been used to help the healing of lungs for people with asthma and lung disorders. The ancient Asian civilizations began using Reishi mushrooms centuries ago and still used today for hypertension, liver disorders and arthritis.

As it’s low in caffeine, it won’t have negative affect on sleep patterns either.

So, it seems that coffee connoisseurs, or just the normal everyday drinker like me, can have a real coffee (not a substitute) that can help improve our lifestyle and health.

Just imagine a coffee that can boost your immune system, increase your circulation and just make you feel better. I’ve found that since switching to Ganoderma healthy coffee, I can have as much or more enjoyment of my daily cups of coffee, and have no more worries about negative physical or psychological effects.

Now that’s something to drink to!

Know the Effects of Coffee

coffee benefit

Coffee has proved beneficial for asthma sufferers. Two to four small cups of coffee throughout the day will help to reduce the recurrence of asthma-attacks, and moderate their intensity. Coffee contains natural antioxidants called ‘flavonoids’ which are widely known as disease protectors. The beneficial effects of moderate caffeine consumption are widely recognized: caffeine works on alertness, mood, sensorial activity and memory. Of course, you may choose to take your daily caffeine ration from other foods and beverages, such as chocolate, carbonated drinks based on coca-nut extract, or tea.

Another benefit of drinking coffee has been studied in China. Their research clinically proved the caffeine in coffee helps to prevent Parkinson’s disease. Many of us have been led to believe that caffeine is bad for us. True enough, large quantities may hurt us, but the evidence is strong for the benefits it provides.

The flavored coffees that are becoming increasingly popular are usually based on bland, mediocre beans that are stirred with chemical flavoring essences after roasting. If these flavored beans are ground at home they will impart their flavors, possibly forever, on to your grinder and brewing apparatus. If you prefer a flavored coffee a better idea is to brew good coffee from unflavored beans and dose it modestly with one or more of the flavoring essences that can be purchased at many gourmet shops.

Coffee also has several metabolic effects that could reduce the risk of gallstone formation. According to a study conducted at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), drinking coffee is associated with a 40 percent lower risk of gallstone disease in men. Men who drank four or more cups of regular coffee per day had a 45 percent lower risk profile.

Similar effects of caffeine have been seen in hypertensive subjects. In trials, caffeine administrated to hypertensive subjects raised systolic blood pressure but this result was no longer observed past the first 24 hours. In testing there were no effects on blood pressure of drinking caffeinated coffee or abstention in patients with borderline or slight hypertension.

These herbal products can help with brain defogging- ginkgo biloba or gota kola while Milk thistle can help the liver with the detoxification process. Be sure to take fiber as the colon will slow down without the stimulation from caffeine. And drinks lots of water. Take your supplements and give your body a chance to make the adjustments. Also look for adaptogenic herbs to support your adrenal glands. Exercise and breath deeply.

Coffee increases heart contractions and slightly increases blood pressure. However, one must bear in mind that continuous doses cause irritability of the coronary nerves, which causes tachycardia and alterations of the heartbeat (arrhythmia). Caffeine, by increasing the level of adrenaline in the blood, predisposes the body to heart attacks.

Drinking lots of coffee can also give you a higher level of homocysteine which can lead to heart disease. An increase in LDL cholesterol or bad cholesterol has also been shown, but its hard to know whether this will lead to a heart attack or not. Cafestol is found in coffee and also thought to increase cholesterol in European brews that boil the beans in water. American coffee made through filtering or percolation is less likely to give this effect.
