Clean Drinking Water: People Prefer Using Various Systems Because Of Unsafe Water

Posted on | December 29, 2010 | No Comments

It is important to have Clean drinking water to be able to get the necessary requirements of water people need. But clean drinking water really isn’t easy to create. Drinking water comes in different types that you may decide to consume and some of them are claimed to be safer than the others. There are those people who choose to drink filtered or purified water. Other people decide to use water filtration systems or distilled water systems to solve the problem.

Everyone has his or her own way of handling the situation. But even with all of these different ways to create clean drinking water, the condition of getting clean drinking water is still difficult, especially around the world. People in the United States have alternatives and they can decide to have clean drinking water whenever they want. You can learn more about the water filtration systems I just mentioned by visiting DitchTheBottle.com.

In the United States, especially throughout the world, the issue of clean drinking water has been a grave problem. In order for drinking water to be considered clean and pure it is important that it comply with very strict standards. These standards are what make the water safe to drink and people can experience a number of long-term negative effects if these standards are not met. These negative effects are the ones that drive these people to decide using other types of water.

The only problem is many of them turn to drinking bottled water, which can also be unsafe, mainly because the bottled water industry is not regulated. Of course, there is no way that you would not risk any chances of drinking bad water, would you? You can gain access to various water filtration systems when you visit DitchTheBottle.com.

Meeting the state and local water quality standards in order for drinking water to be considered clean is very important. The reason why this is necessary is because just about all types of water, which have not been cleaned, usually contain high amounts of contamination such as pathogens and other dissolved solids. If people were to consume these pathogens and dissolved solids it would cause them to become very sick. Even though in the past, there have been a few incidents of pathogens and dissolved solids getting through, the problem has been regulated in this country.

Unlike in the United States, clean drinking water isn’t readily available in other countries around the world. As a result people in those countries suffer from chronic illnesses simply because of drinking bad water. However, some of the purest water in the world can be found in the United States. But this should not make people feel safe and relaxed. In order to ensure the water they are drinking is safe, many of them chose to use water systems.

All You Want To Know About Your Grandfather’s Coffee

When I was six years old, my granddaddy would take me and my twin brother to work with him. Granddaddy worked at night as a security guard, so it was no trouble at all for him to let us go to work with him. And it was just the three of us, so needless-to-say, my granddaddy let us go nut! And I’m sure we drove him nuts, as well.

We had the best granddaddy in the world, just as long as we didn’t tell mom, he would let us swear, we could talk about sex, or anything else that we wanted to talk about, and the one thing that mom would have went crazy if she knew that he let us, DRINK COFFEE!

That started a fire that still burns today. My granddaddy introduced me to the greatest drink ever. And still every time I take a drink of coffee, I think about those special times. But, back then, I drank coffee because grown-ups drank it and mom would not let us drink it because it wasn’t good for us. I drink for different reasons, now. It really isn’t as bad for you as you think.

I’ve done a lot of research on coffee, and drinking it is not as bad
for you, at all, much to my surprise.

what would you say if I told you there was a natural elixir that could lower your risk of diabetes, colon cancer, or Parkinson’s disease? you would think I was crazy, right? Its true.

Researchers from Harvard University followed data on more than 126,000 people for 18 years, and what they found would surprise the heck out of you. The research found that drinking one to three cups of caffeinated coffee daily can reduce diabetes by single digits. But, drinking six or more cups of coffee per day slashed men’s risks by 54%  and more than 30% in women. The more coffee you drink, the better it is for you.

Here’s something else that you may not know. In males, drinking sperm stronger. The studies show that coffee consumption makes sperm swim faster and swim a longer distance. Coffee has actually been linked with infertility. This is a misconception.

Here are a few more points that I’ve found very interesting for you to read. Like both black and green tea, coffee contains antioxidants, which can help the cell mutation which may lead to cancer.

Surprisingly- given that coffee may be a migraine trigger- the caffeine may cure headaches. It is one of the ingredients in some pills because it increases the power of aspirin and other painkillers by as much as 40%.

Coffee consumption is also a brain stimulant. As coffee is a stimulant, it can help in concentration. Last year Dr Chiara Trombetti, of the humanities Gavazzeni institute in Italy, went as far as suggesting that a morning cup of milky coffee can get sleepy school children off to a good start. However, that is unlikely to be echoed by nutritionists here, who recommended sufficient sleep and good diet as better ways to cope with the mental demands of the brain.

Coffee even promotes liver health! Though doctors cannot explain the link, but studies have shown that coffee drinkers are less likely to develop liver disease, including Cirrhosis of the liver.

Coffee consumption even decreases the need for surgery on gallstones. Women are twice as likely as men to develop gallstones. In one study, women who drank four cups of coffee each day were 25% less likely to need surgery for gallstones than women who weren’t coffee drinkers.

Coffee consumption may actually be good for the skin. Caffeine appeared to improve micro-circulation when applied to the skin in one study, making cellulite look better.

Now, I’m sure my Granddaddy didn’t take all this information into consideration when he chose to be a coffee drinker. In fact I know he didn’t, he chose coffee because he liked it, but he’s almost 90 years old now, and I would like to think that his excessive coffee consumption had a little to do with him still being around, but in any case, I’m still glad he is.

As always, I hope you found this article both informative and entertaining. Thank you for reading, and may GOD bless you always, and in always.

A Brief Overview of Gourmet Coffee

The word Gourmet is used to refer to the fancier grade, cut, or quality of many of the foods and beverages we consume. Gourmet foods and drinks have long been associated as the regular fare for the rich and famous who can afford the higher pricing that often accompanies many of these finer food and beverage versions. Coffee is a beverage that has been available in cheap, regular and gourmet versions for a long time and the consumption rate of coffee among people from around the world continues to increase every year. Gourmet coffee may have once only been served in the finest dining establishments and found being served mostly in the homes of the upper class, but gourmet coffee is widely available and affordable to a variety of people and is found in a variety of settings today.

Coffee is made from coffee beans which are found within the berries that develop and ripen on a number of smaller evergreen bush plant species known as the Coffea plant. After ripening, coffee berries are harvested, and then undergo a processing which also includes drying them. It is the coffee beans that remain after the processing and drying of the coffee berries. The beans are then roasted to various degrees which cause them to change physically and in the tastes they produce. Finally, the coffee beans are grinded down into a fine consistency that is commonly known as coffee grounds, and packaged and shipped to destinations around the world where consumers can buy and brew coffee grounds to make coffee in commercial, hospitality, institutional, and residential settings. Some people prefer to grind their own coffee beans before brewing them for coffee. Packaged coffee beans that have not been ground can be purchased in stores and ground using the grinding mills that are made available in most of the stores selling them, but also with grinding machines in the home.

The two most commercially grown species of the coffea plant that produce the coffee beans used to make the coffee that the world’s population consumes, are Robusta and Arabica. Gourmet coffee is made from the top tier coffee beans from the arabica coffea plant. These top tier arabica coffea plants are typically grown at very high altitudes (above 3000ft) with ideal soil and climate conditions. The coffee beans produced have fuller flavors, are more aromatic, and have less caffeine in them than other varieties of coffee beans such as Robustas. The coffee beans of arabica coffea plants grown at lower altitudes are still noted among consumers as having richer flavors than the flavors produced by Robusta coffee beans, but it is only the top tier arabica coffee beans that are considered to be Gourmet, and thereby from which gourmet coffee is derived.

Coffee bean grounds and coffee beans that have not been grinded down need to be stored in air-tight containers and kept cool in order to protect them from losing their flavor. The containers that coffee is typically sold in are not the most ideal for storing coffee for a long period of time. When you arrive home after purchasing coffee grounds at the store, consider transferring the fresh coffee grounds to appropriate storage containers to extend its shelf life and full flavor.

Coffee can be brewed in many ways such as boiling, pressuring, and steeping. Most of us brew our coffee using automatic coffee brewing machines and percolators which use gravity to pull hot water through coffee grounds where the hot water mixed with the oils and essences of the coffee grounds empties into a liquid holding container below. Filters are used to keep coffee granules from being emptied into the carafe or liquid holding container from which the brewed coffee can then be served from because most people do not want to drink the coffee granules. Coffee granules can be very bitter once the flavor able oils and essences have been removed through the brewing process. Plants and flowers love coffee grounds though for anybody who is looking for a greener alternative of what to do with coffee grounds after brewing instead of just throwing them in the trash.

Of course, Gourmet coffee beans are only the beginning to creating a truly gourmet coffee experience for many gourmet coffee drinkers. Some people are quite content with drinking their gourmet coffee black, without adding anything like milk, creamer, sugar or other sweeteners or flavorings, to their coffee. While many others want to enhance their gourmet coffee and drinking experience with tasty additions like milk that is whipped into a froth, sweeteners, and mixing in other flavors like chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and mint, to name just a few. Big name coffee chains sell a wide variety of gourmet coffee with different tasty additions and flavors to appeal to gourmet coffee lovers. However, brewing gourmet coffee at home is usually much cheaper, and you can add what you want to your coffee to satisfy your refined, gourmet tastes.

Coffee machines are expensive, especially if you want one with the state of the art features. Instead of buying a new expensive machine, it would not be such a bad idea to buy used coffee machines. It would not only save some cash but also wouldn’t make you feel guilty every time you want to change the machine. There are people who do change their coffee machines very frequently and it would be to your benefit to keep an eye open for such machines. They are often in new condition and have been used gently. Therefore, they are quite a bargain.

Used coffee machines are quite useful for those looking for commercial coffee machines or office coffee machines . The reason for this being that automatic machines used for commercial purposes are very expensive. If you are able to get a used coffee machine for half the original cost, it is quite a big saving and it makes sense for new businesses to find such ways to cut on initial outlay on expenses.

An office coffee machine is a must for every office as it not only saves time and boosts the morale of the employees but also improves productivity. When the staff has access to good coffee, why would they leave the office premises to get a cup of coffee? It has also been found that “in-house networking” occurs around the office coffee machine . Such a networking promotes teamwork and uplifts the quality of work. Frankly, who wouldn’t appreciate the boss who takes care of his employees!!!

From the business point of view, the ideal solution would be an office coffee machine for the employees but without burning a hole in the employer’s pocket. That is possible only when the coffee machine is either used or rental.

While buying used coffee machines , one has to look into a lot of things other than the price. Many sellers will actually offer a warranty on the machine as an assurance, particularly if it is being sold within the warranty period. If not, you may ask about the manufacturer’s warranty.

Are you a caffeine addict like me? The aroma of brewed coffee can really stimulate the senses. But people will start feeling the effects more after sipping since this is when the effects of coffee really kick in.

What exactly are the effects of coffee? Studies have shown this can boost someone’s alertness, improve performance and concentration. In the body, this signifies an increase in the heart rate, blood pressure and basal metabolic rate. It will also promote urine production and can help relax muscle tension. It is the reason why that a lot of us have coffee while studying for a test, to help waking up in the morning or work during night shifts.

The main ingredient in coffee is caffeine. Research shows that it is harmless to drink one or two cups every day. However, if someone exceeds this quantity he can suffer the negative effects such as difficulty sleeping, headaches, irregular heartbeat, muscle tension and nausea. This can also lead to ulcer or heartburn, which is why experts also recommend individuals to drink in a moderate way.

Coffee isn’t good for women who are pregnant or patients who have heart disease and they should not consume it since it could cause birth defects or other health problems.

But persons who drink coffee can also experience the same effects by drinking substances that contain caffeine. For example, chocolate, sodas or tea.

Coffee may not make the person do a foolish thing which is normally related with the consumption of illegal substances or alcohol. But it may form a habit. People who drink it regularly and all of a sudde stop may feel what is called a withdrawal effects that will go away after a day or two when they are able to once again drink a cup of coffee.

It appears that certain diseases have been prevented by coffee. Java for instance is effective as an anti-depressant, now that is definitely what we can call good effects of coffee. The chances of developing Parkinson’s disease in men is lessen by other types of coffee even if physicians aren’t yet able to determine the cause of this disease.

In almost every household, coffee is being consumed. It can be purchased from the store or brewed at home or in the office.

The effects of coffee has on one person might differ with another depending on how well the body is able to react to the caffeine so when the individual feels this is enough, it is time to stop rather than feeling the negative effects of consuming too much. Nonetheless it is hard to beat a good cup of coffee in the morning. But since I want to better take care of my health I will try to drink a bit less coffee and start drinking some green tea during the day. Well like I said at least I will try.

What Are the Health Effects of Drinking Coffee?

Many people simply do not drink caffeinated coffee because of their fear of negative health effects. The fact of the matter is that recent studies have shown that a moderate amount of coffee could actually benefit you by reducing your overall risk of some serious illnesses and diseases. Many people drink coffee simply because of it’s energizing effects which help keep you awake longer and feeling less groggy in the morning. If you are drinking too much coffee there are of course negative side effects that can come of it despite the positivity of these new studies. This article will look at some of the potential health effects drinking coffee could have on you.

It has been suggested that females who consume excessive amounts of coffee can suffer from infertility and sometimes have problems with birth. There are markedly more stillbirth deliveries inwomen who say they drank coffee throughout pregnancy. Your chances of miscarriages can also be significantly higher if you drink two or more cups per day. Too much coffee during pregnancy can also cause low birth weight. Switching to decaffeinated coffee may not offer a solution, as the chemicals present in the decaffeination process may still be present in trace amounts. Men get the added benefit of a reduced risk of developing gout by drinking coffee. Gout is a recurring condition that is commonly identified by symptoms such as painful swelling and inflammation of the joints – particularly in the foot or ankles. Gout is often considered a condition of the big toe but the truth is it can effect the ankles, legs, arms, and fingers as well. The impact is joints that are hot and tender and may be red or swollen. It’s thought that gout is caused by high levels of uric acid within the body, which is also linked to kidney stones. Research indicates that drinking coffee reduces the level of uric acid in the body.

It is a commonly held belief that caffeine raises the risk of high blood pressure but no formal studies have come to that conclusion. Because coffee is a stimulant, many people feel on edge or irritable after consuming too much coffee. If a susceptible person drinks too much coffee, it’s possible that the caffeine could decrease that person’s resistance to stress. This can make them feel more stressed and anxious about things that normally wouldn’t invoke those feelings. If a person is feeling under stress, symptoms such as an irregular heartbeat, increased heart rate or increased blood pressure may emerge. Those who drink too much coffee are especially susceptible.

Don’t forget that even though there are good benefits for drinking coffee there are plenty of negative effects to remain cautious about. Play it safe by drinking in moderation. You’ll be enjoying some of the recently discovered health benefits and avoiding some of the negative effects by moderating the amount you drink.

We are aware of scores of different anti-aging formulae. To add to the extensive list comes to our mind is the green coffee bean extract. But what is green coffee bean extract? The usual coffee powder that we find is the coffee powder prepared after roasting green coffee beans. The extract is extracted from green coffee bean at 70° C for 2 hours using 70% ethanol. The green coffee bean extract is a light to dark yellowish brown hygroscopic powder, rich in several polyphenols called hydroxycinnamic acids, of which the two prominent acids are chlorogenic and caffeic acids.

Coffee bean extract is touted for its anti-oxidant, hypotensive, anti-inflammatory and anti-obesity properties. Let’s have a look at the different ways in which this green coffee extract benefits the human body. The chlorogenic acids present in the green coffee bean is an antioxidant, which means it destroys the free radicals formed in the body, as a result of metabolism. These free radicals if left as they are destroy cell membranes and conduce to symptoms of aging.

Coffee beans also play a major role in reducing blood pressure.  The one month experiment done on people with mild hypertension showed that consumption of green coffee extract supplements was seen to have their high blood pressure levels lowered.

In their research conducted on green coffee bean extract found that green coffee bean extract promotes weight loss. This weight loss is due to two chemical compounds naturally present in the green coffee beans. These natural chemicals are caffeine and chlorogenic acid, which together result in weight loss.

The coffee beans also help in boosting metabolism in human body. The green coffee bean extract boosts metabolism by altering the way in which glucose is absorbed in the body. The caffeic acids act as stimulants and boost the energy levels. Then again, since this green bean has not been boiled, it lacks cafestol, which is a diterpene, which would have otherwise increased levels of bad cholesterol LDL.

To finally conclude, this green coffee bean extract is safe till today. There have been no reports of any adverse reactions to this extract. However, to be on the safer side, pregnant and breastfeeding women, young children and people with kidney and liver problems should refrain from taking this green coffee bean extract.
