  1. TERESA ECKERMAN-PFEIL

The coffee works very well with my french press coffee pot. I make it very strong, yet the coffee is neither sour nor bitter.

  2. This is a delightful dark roast with lots of oils and smooth rich flavor. If you subscribe to this product, you can get it for about $7 a pound, which is substantially cheaper than the much inferior product at the grocery store. Unless I can get back to Portland and buy some Buckmaster’s Coffee, this is my second favorite.

  3. This coffee has a great French Roast taste, which is the only kind I drink! You cannot beat the price, especially on an organic coffee bean. The taste is very rich and dark, but not bitter. I would recommend this coffee to anyone.

  4. ristretto doppio

This is my favorite roast Cafe Altura makes. I make espresso with these beans every single day and I just love it. These beans are very oily, very strong, and has some complex flavors including spiciness. If you just love smooth italian espresso, then this could be too strong for you. It doesn’t have so much of burnt flavor or bitterness, though espresso could get bitter sometimes if you grind them too fine or tamp too hard. I’ve never tried these in french press or drip, but my guess is that if it is brewed for correct amount of time, it will produce very nice coffee.

  5. I have tried many different coffee’s over the past severeal years and I am a hard customer to please. I ran across this coffee at my son’s house and loved it. I love a bold coffee and this one tasted better than any of the coffee’s I have had to date so I decided to join the coffee club as we go through quite a bit of coffee. I am a creature of habit and if I find one I really like I tend not to change. The beans are dark in color and have an oily (which I find are the best) look. I would highly recommend this coffee to anyone.
